What should we wear for our session?

The choice is yours, but I suggest coordinating clothing if more than one person will be photographed. Choose clothing that you like and that your child is happy and comfortable wearing. Newborns often photograph best in their own skin. For maternity sessions, please have several outfits ready: black pants, blue jeans, long skirts, tank tops, shirts, etc.

Do you have a studio space?

I am an on-location photographer only. I do not have a studio space at this time. I bring my portable studio to your home. It personalizes your images, and makes them even more meaningful.

When is the best time to have a newborn session?

Ideally 0 to 4 weeks, before they get their baby acne and are still pliable.

When is the best time to have a maternity session?

Maternity sessions are best between 30-36 weeks.

What happens if my child is fussy during the session?

A session can last up to 2 hours, allowing plenty of time for breaks, snacks, feedings, etc. Usually since I am not directing children, but just following them and allowing plenty of free play, they get to relax and be themselves. In the event that your child is fussy and doesn't cooperate throughout your session, I can offer to redo your session at no additional cost at a more convenient time.

Should I book a studio or an outdoor session?

I prefer to limit studio sessions to newborns, maternity sessions and babies up to the crawling stage. For children ages 1 and up I suggest booking an outdoor session, since they seem to be happier to move around and explore their surroundings and be themselves.

Do you limit the number of people to be photographed in a session?

Everyone in the family is welcome to pose during my sessions, including your family pet. I just limit the amount of time of each regular session to 2 hours.

Are the digital images available for purchase?

Individual images are $25 each and a CD with all the images of your session is available for $250. You get all the printing rights. The images have no logos on them.

Do you do photo retouching?

Every image is individually color balanced and includes minor blemish removal.

Do you offer gift certificates?

I offer gift certificates for a minimum amount of $250 which includes a regular session fee and print credit. These are very popular as baby shower and holiday gifts.

What type of paper do you print photographs on?

All photos are printed on Kodak Professional Supra Endura VC Digital Paper (Matte Finish). The standard archival value is 100 years in home display and 200 years in dark storage.

What forms of payment do you accept?

At this time, I accept personal checks or cash only.
